Snake Avoidance Workshop
May 6, 2018
This workshop will introduce you to a non-aversive style of training your dog to avoid rattlesnakes. Using their senses, we will begin training your dog to redirect to you when they hear, see or smell a rattlesnake. Workbooks will be provided to help you continue and perfect the training techniques at home.
Space in this workshop is limited to 8 working teams (handler and dog) and unlimited auditing spots (attending without a dog).
As only one dog/handler at a time will be working, I request that you have a way to confine your dog safety and comfortably as they wait their turn. Depending on the weather it might be possible to have dogs remain in their owner’s vehicles or plan to bring a crate or exercise pen. Dogs are not allowed to just be leashed next to their owner while another dog is working for the safety of everyone and so that the non-working dog has an opportunity to relax between turns.
$60 working teams
